Cooking Instructions
For the stovetop, bring 2 cups water and ¼ tsp salt (optional) to a boil and add 1 cup old-fashioned oat oats. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes or up to 15 minutes for a softer creamier consistency. Stir occasionally. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 2 minutes, stir, and serve.
For the microwave, in a large bowl, combine oats, water, and salt. Cover and microwave on high for 2.5-3 minutes (depending on desired consistency, firm to soft and creamy). Let stand for 1 minute, stir, and serve.

Stovetop
Bring water and salt to a boil. Add old fashioned rolled oats.
Reduce heat and cook 10-20 minutes (depending on the consistency you desire). Stir occasionally.
Remove from heat and let stand covered for a few minutes. Serves two people.

In a large bowl, combine oats, water and salt.
Cover and microwave on high for 3-5 minutes.
Let stand for 2 minutes. Serves two people.
